As a remote, entry‑level professional, you will work closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that enable real‑time analytics, reporting, and predictive modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implement Scalable Data Solutions: Architect, develop, and test large‑scale data models that provide efficient analytical and reporting capabilities for arenaflex’s global finance and business units.
- Build Robust ETL Pipelines: Create reusable, high‑performance ETL workflows using SQL and programming languages such as Python, Shell, or Go. Leverage orchestration tools like Apache Airflow to schedule, monitor, and manage data movement.
- Data Lake & Lakehouse Management: Work with modern data lake technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and lakehouse concepts to store, curate, and serve structured and semi‑structured data.
- Ensure Data Quality & Governance: Implement data quality frameworks, anomaly detection mechanisms, and validation tests to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data assets.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product owners, finance analysts, and engineering squads to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize SQL queries, tune performance, and adopt best practices for version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear documentation, run internal workshops, and mentor junior teammates to foster a culture of learning.
Essential Qualifications

- Proficiency in SQL with a solid understanding of query optimization and execution plans.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or similar.
- Experience building or contributing to ETL pipelines using Python, Shell scripting, or Go.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with Apache Airflow, Prefect, or other workflow orchestration tools.

- Understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Prior exposure to data governance, metadata management, or data catalog solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
Core Skills & Competencies
