Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About arenaflex and the Opportunity

At arenaflex, we are reimagining how emerging businesses connect, scale, and thrive in an increasingly digital economy. Our dedicated Startups Team partners with visionary founders and early-stage companies around the world, empowering them to build innovative, inspiring, and transformative products that shape the future. Through our flagship arenaflex for Startups program, we are reinventing how we engage startup ecosystems, deliver strategic resources, and unlock new pathways for growth across every industry and geography.

Behind these efforts is a world-class Data Team composed of Program Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Analysts who share a singular mission: to make a measurable, lasting impact on startups while equipping arenaflex teams with the insights and tools they need to serve those entrepreneurs at the highest level. We are data-driven, customer-obsessed, and relentless in our pursuit of operational excellence.

As Manager, Customer Relationship Management & Data Systems, you will step into a pivotal leadership role within arenaflex, shaping the strategic direction and operational success of our startup engagement initiatives. This is not a maintenance role. This is a position for a seasoned, forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of driving strategy, executing complex programs, and delivering meaningful business impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. If you are energized by the intersection of data, technology, and human connection — and if you want your work to empower thousands of innovators worldwide — this is the role for you.

Our Mission and Culture at arenaflex

arenaflex’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together every day with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Our culture is built on three enduring pillars: respect, integrity, and accountability. These values are more than words on a wall — they are the operating principles that guide every decision, every conversation, and every product we build.

We are deeply committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment where all employees can thrive and positively impact our culture every single day. At arenaflex, diversity of thought, background, and experience is celebrated because we know that the best ideas emerge when different perspectives come together. We invest in our people, we listen to their ideas, and we create space for everyone to do their best work.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Systems Thinking and Architecture

  • Develop a deep, end-to-end understanding of the entire Customer Relationship Management (CRM) ecosystem and all adjacent data systems, including how data flows, how stakeholders interact, and where the architecture creates friction or opportunity.
  • Document workflows, system dependencies, integration points, and architectural decisions in a clear, accessible, and continuously updated format that serves as the single source of truth for the team.
  • Listen carefully to stakeholder requests and proposed solutions, then discern the underlying business need beneath the surface — translating asks into scalable, strategic outcomes.
  • Identify specific, high-impact opportunities for improvement that will increase scalability, reliability, and performance of our CRM and data systems.
  • Build and own the multi-year strategy and roadmap for our CRM and data architecture, ensuring it serves stakeholder needs, anticipates future demands, and aligns with arenaflex’s broader business objectives.

Product and Service Development

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), project plans, schedules, and executive-ready status updates that effectively engage stakeholders at every level of the organization.
  • Lead and perform hands-on data and system investigation, prototyping, and implementation work as needed to unblock teams and validate solutions.
  • Partner closely with the Data Infrastructure team to ensure our CRM and data systems are high-quality, reliable, secure, and fully compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Champion a product mindset within the data systems space — treating internal tools and platforms as products with users (our employees and partner teams), clear roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.

Executive Partnership and Cross-Functional Communication

  • Forge trusted, long-lasting partnerships with stakeholders across every corner of arenaflex — from Marketing and Sales to Support, Product, and Engineering — to ensure alignment and shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Communicate the roadmap, strategic decisions, results, and tradeoffs to diverse audiences, ranging from individual contributors and team members to senior executives, in a way that influences investment, builds confidence, and drives progress.
  • Drive collaboration and coordination across teams and perspectives, ensuring alignment on product management, release planning, and continuous improvement — including honest conversations about tradeoffs, adjustments, and course corrections as needed.
  • Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor to leadership on the role of CRM and data systems in achieving arenaflex’s startup engagement mission.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 6+ years of experience in engineering, product or technical program management, data analysis, or product development — or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of people management experience, with demonstrated success in building, coaching, and leading high-performing teams.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects, ideally in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into clarity and turn data into decisive action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and executives.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet arenaflex, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. This includes passing a background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter, as part of our ongoing commitment to security and trust.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 10+ years of experience in engineering, product or technical program management, data analysis, or product development — or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of people management experience, ideally managing managers or large, distributed teams.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects in a global organization of 500+ employees.
  • 2+ years of experience managing a CRM platform or equivalent internal tools at enterprise scale — including vendor evaluation, implementation, customization, and ongoing optimization.
  • Familiarity with modern CRM platforms (such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or equivalent), data warehousing concepts, and integration patterns.
  • Experience working in or alongside startup ecosystems, venture capital, accelerator programs, or innovation-focused organizations.

Skills and Competencies for Success

The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational rigor. Beyond the qualifications listed, success in this role will require:

  • Systems thinking — the ability to see the big picture while understanding the smallest integration details.
  • Executive presence — comfort presenting to and influencing senior leaders and large audiences.
  • Empathy and active listening — to understand the true needs of stakeholders and the founders we serve.
  • Bias for action — the drive to move from idea to execution quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning — staying ahead of CRM, data, and AI trends that can transform how we work.
  • Mentorship and team development — a passion for growing the next generation of leaders at arenaflex.

Career Growth and Learning Opportunities

At arenaflex, we believe that growth is a journey, not a destination. When you join us as Manager of CRM & Data Systems, you gain access to:

  • Mentorship from senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Data, and Business Strategy.
  • Sponsorship for professional development, including conferences, certifications, and advanced training in CRM platforms, data engineering, and program management.
  • Internal mobility opportunities across arenaflex’s global teams, allowing you to explore new domains, geographies, and career paths.
  • A culture that encourages experimentation, calculated risk-taking, and learning from both successes and failures.
  • The unique opportunity to directly shape how arenaflex empowers thousands of startups worldwide — a career-defining portfolio of impact.
