About This Opportunity

We're seeking a full-time, remote Customer Advocate Phone Specialist to provide exceptional inbound telephone support to our members, providers, and partners. This isn't your average customer service role—it's an opportunity to be the voice of guidance during some of life's most important moments. When a family is navigating a new diagnosis, when a small business owner is exploring coverage options, or when a senior is learning about their Medicare benefits, you'll be there—listening, explaining, and solving. This position offers a competitive starting hourly rate of $18.00, with performance and quality-based incentives that can increase your earning potential. If you're bilingual in Spanish, we offer an additional $1 per hour premium—a recognition of the invaluable skills you bring to serving Arizona's diverse communities.

What You'll Do

As a Customer Advocate Phone Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be the first point of contact for members seeking answers, clarity, and resolution. Your responsibilities will include: - Handling 40 or more inbound calls daily, addressing questions about benefits, coverage, claims, eligibility, provider networks, and program information - Researching and resolving customer inquiries through careful investigation of systems, records, and documentation - Explaining complex health insurance concepts in clear, empathetic language that customers can understand - Maintaining meticulous records of all interactions, updating member files and system information accurately - Meeting or exceeding quality, quantity, and timeliness standards as defined by department guidelines - Demonstrating fluency in required systems, procedures, forms, and operational manuals - Adhering to strict privacy, compliance, and confidentiality standards in every interaction - Collaborating with team members and cross-functional departments to ensure seamless member experiences You'll be supported by comprehensive, instructor-led virtual training that prepares you for success from day one.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive Pay:

Starting rate of $18.00 per hour, with opportunities to earn more through performance incentives -

Bilingual Premium:

Additional $1 per hour for Spanish-proficient specialists -

Onboarding Bonus:

$1,000 total ($500 at 3 months, $500 at 6 months) -

Work Schedule

This role operates Monday through Friday, with shifts available between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. You'll have the opportunity to select a schedule that fits your life while serving our members during their most convenient hours.

Who You Are

We're looking for candidates who bring: - A high school diploma or equivalent - At least one year of external customer service experience - Comfortable proficiency with office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanners, and multi-line telephone systems - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy - The ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate complex systems with discretion - Strong computer literacy and the ability to toggle between multiple software programs seamlessly - A customer-first mindset with genuine empathy and communication skills - The resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
