Real Estate Accounting Associate

Are you a meticulous individual with a strong knack for numbers and accuracy? We are hiring an Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team! This role will be full-time, remote for our Orlando, FL office, reporting directly to the Controller. You will be an integral part of ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and efficiency across our expanding real estate portfolio. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, eager to contribute to a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Role Mission:

To ensure financial records and reports are accurate and timely, support seamless financial operations, and provide actionable insights to drive strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses, addressing discrepancies as necessary.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across the portfolio.
• Assist with annual CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and adjustments.
• Collaborate closely with property management and asset management teams to provide financial information and support operational decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records within Yardi, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits and tax filings.
• Continuously improving accounting procedures and internal controls

Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in an accounting role, ideally within commercial real estate.
• Proficient in Yardi accounting software (strongly preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• C1 English Level.
• Located within LATAM.
