Your role in our mission

Apply your skills to support Gainwell as we help clients deliver better health and human services outcomes. 

  • Able to perform Angular core concepts, including components, modules, services, directives, pipes, and routing
  • Applications development using JavaScript (Node.js frameworks/asynchronous programming)
  • Ability to work with database technologies including Postgresql or MongoDB
  • Use and support GIT version control systems
  • Python programming including design, development, and maintainenance of software applications using Python frameworks/libraries/tools
  • Provides design documents and translates into component-level designs to accelerate development.
  • Provides design expertise in support of development team efforts to provide flexible reusable components to increase cost effectiveness.
  • Analyzes, designs and reviews design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied.
  • Assists in reviewing and analyzing gathered information in technical research and in evaluating tools and methodologies to ensure that designs adhere to current industry, client and company standards.
  • Develops and provides technical documentation; participates and oversees test-plan development, integration and deployment.
  • Participates in business process work sessions, project meetings and joint applications development sessions to ensure that product design decisions are communicated to departmental personnel.
  • Functions as a domain expert and works closely with software developers to explain the application design, and coordinates activities between the two functions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Utilizes experience in development methodologies, coding documentation, testing methodology and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed design of application solutions for clients.

What we’re looking for

3+ years of product design and support experience using Angular and Node.js to include:

  • Angular components, modules, services, directives, pipes, and routing
  • JavaScript (Node.js frameworks, asynchronous programming)
  • Database technologies including Postgresql or MongoDB
  • GIT version control systems
  • Python (design/develop/maintain applications using Python frameworks/libraries/tools)
  • Software design/development life cycle, and development methodologies and implementation
  • Healthcare IT systems in desired 

Other Qualifications

  • Analytical, problem solving, creative thinking and design skills at multiple product
  • Communication skills to communicate with application developers, customers, support personnel and management
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
  • Eagerness to stay updated with industry trends and continually enhance skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required

The pay range for this position is $50,000 – $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
