Senior Software Engineer (AI Tools)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer excited about shaping the future of developer tooling powered by AI. At Coder, you will have the opportunity to explore, design, and implement the next generation of AI-powered developer tools that seamlessly integrate into developers' workflows while maintaining enterprise-grade security.

What you'll do here

• Research, design and build AI-powered tools that leverage LLMs and AI agents to dramatically improve developer productivity

• Help define what it means to run AI agents securely at scale, establishing best practices for enterprise environments

• Work with cutting-edge AI technologies to create seamless, painless developer experiences

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams at Coder, as well as with partners like JetBrains, to execute key product integrations

• Rapidly iterate from prototype to implementation in a highly adaptive, reactive team environment

You must

• Use LLMs more hours of the day than you don't

• Believe that the models will continue to improve dramatically

• Use some coding agent as part of your core workflow

• Experience building on top of or integrating with LLM APIs and AI models

• Experience scaling a SaaS application from 0 users to thousands (and hopefully millions)

• A background in developer tooling, platform engineering, or IaC

• Experience working in a blend of startups and larger organizations

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, model deployment, or MLOps

Interview Process

We believe that the interview process should be consistent and enjoyable. We value your time and hope to get through the interview process in two to three weeks if schedules allow. During this time, you will be able to meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and leadership.
