Senior Software QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to lead test strategy, automation, and validation efforts for our cutting-edge Home Gateway products. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and user experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead test for home gateway (CPE) devices, including Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems, that built on prplOS with prplMesh integrated. 

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for embedded firmware, web UI, mobile app integration, EasyMesh, and TR-069/TR-181. 

  • Create, execute, and automate test cases for embedded firmware, mesh controller/agent behavior, backhaul/ fronthaul management, and device onboarding. 

  • Conduct system-level testing across multiple nodes (mesh network topologies) for performance, roaming, steering, stability, and security. 

  • Develop or extend test frameworks to automate test execution, logging, and reporting. 

  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on failures across data path, Wi-Fi stack, and control plane. 

  • Mentor junior QA engineers and enforce QA best practices and documentation standards. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded networking QA, preferably with OpenWRT, prplOS, or RDK-B environments. 

  • Solid understanding of Wi-Fi EasyMesh, Wi-Fi standards, networking stacks, and TR-181 data model. 

  • Experience working with embedded Linux platforms and shell scripting. 

  • Hands-on experience with tools like IxChariot, CDRouter, Wireshark, iperf3, tcpdump, snmpwalk, ACS platforms (TR-069/USP), JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, and Jenkins 

  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
