Job Summary

​The Media Billing Specialist manages and processes media invoices, ensuring accurate billing and financial record-keeping. This role involves reconciling discrepancies, collaborating with media planners, finance teams, and vendors to ensure smooth billing operations, and supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in financial systems are essential for success in this position.​

Responsibilities
  • Process and Review Media Invoices: Ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts by meticulously handling media-related invoices. ​

  • Reconcile Media Buys with Invoices: Verify that media purchases align with invoiced amounts to confirm correct charges. ​

  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with vendors, agencies, and internal teams to resolve any billing discrepancies promptly. ​

  • Maintain Financial Records: Keep detailed and organized records of media expenditures and payments for auditing and reporting purposes. ​

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.​

  • Industry Experience: 2-3 years in billing, finance, or media accounting, preferably within media agencies or marketing firms.​

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Mediaocean, or Strata.​

  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple billing cycles under tight deadlines.
