We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Remote Law Firm Accountant/Bookkeeper. Responsibilities As a Law Firm Accountant/Bookkeeper, you will collaborate with various attorneys and law firm clients, providing essential accounting and bookkeeping services along with occasional project work. Given that many of our clients operate in the legal industry, previous experience within law firms is essential. Your responsibilities will include: ? Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ? Preparation of client billings ? Vendor management ? Account reconciliations ? End-of-month financial preparation ? Payroll processing (including preparation of quarterly 941's, annual W-2's, W-3's, 940's, and 1099's) ? Timely communication and correspondence with clients and managers ? Meeting all deadlines ? Other projects and duties as assigned Qualifications ? Bachelors degree in Accounting, preferred ? 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience ? 3+ years of previous law firm experience, with a focus on IP Law as a plus ? Proficiency using QuickBooks and MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook ? Experience with other accounting software such as Centerbase, Tabs3, Juris, Clio, ProLaw, Orion, Aderant, Elite, PC Law, or Timeslips is advantageous ? Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure ? Fund accounting experience is a plus Success Factors ? Extreme attention to detail ? Ability to multitask and be flexible/adaptable ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills, engaging effectively with all levels of employees ? Adherence to strict deadlines ? Strong critical-thinking skills ?
