Job title: Tumbling Clinic Coach Johnstown YMCA Company: YMCA Job description : Instruct and implement lesson plans for Tumbling. Organize area in which safety and overall appearance works well with Tumbling. Organize groups of participants through different drills and activities, making sure the overall program runs smoothly, including starting and ending according to schedules made by the Director. Clinic coach must have significant knowledge of the sport and/or experience coaching or playing sports to advise participants and coaches. Be able to organize groups of people effectively as well as know how to break down a skill and explain it so that participants can understand and perform the skill. Instructor must communicate and work with a variety of people including participants, staff, and community members. Open shifts include Thursday afternoons/evenings through the end of 2023. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must have a high-level knowledge and understanding of the rules for tumbling Assists in the preparation of programs as assigned by Program Director(s) Must be able to effectively and efficiently communicate and teach skills and drills to participants of all ages and abilities Communicates important information regarding the YMCA and youth sports to all participants and parents Handle onsite issues and concerns in an appropriate manner and communicating relevant information to the Program Director(s) Represents the YMCA in a professional manner at all times Other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: * Certifications: CPR, AED, & Basic First Aid certification. Tumbling knowledge/experience. Maintains applicable sport certifications as necessary (through the Y or other licensing agencies). Must be at least 16 years of age. Salary range is $15-$18/hour based on experience and certification. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English. All Employees receive a free individual membership and anyone working 10+ hours receives a free family membership, 50-100% off our programs and if eligible, we contribute the equivalent of 10% of your salary to the . Full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 3 weeks of paid vacation, 88 hours of paid sick time, and 8 paid holidays per year. Free YMCA programs include: after-school programs, Camp NOCO traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate, and swim lessons.
