Next generation customer shopping journeys are starting and ending outside Amazon stores as this next wave of shoppers finds inspiration through video games, virtual worlds, social media, and the metaverse. To meet the needs of these customers, the Amazon Anywhere team is on a mission to build the earth's most customer-centric shopping experience by providing Amazon's selection, price, and... convenience for customers no matter where - or how - they find inspiration. Our team owns a product roadmap that enables developers across games, apps, and content creation to embed shopping deeply into those experiences, helping customers discover and purchase relevant products, without breaking immersion or engagement. After our initial launch success, we seek a highly motivated and technically strong technical business development manager to help accelerate our growth. This candidate will be responsible for managing strategic partners and complex deals across established industries like video games and media & entertainment, while also helping us uncover opportunities in new industries like wearable tech and video/streaming content. They'll drive the Amazon Anywhere partner pipeline end to end, from identifying opportunities and initial engagement all the way through contract negotiation and onboarding. This role is high visibility, high impact, and will help shape the future of shopping for Amazon. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with experience in the above industries, topped with a passion for innovation. They'll be able to seamlessly drive engagement and interaction with C-Level decision makers as well as dive deep to answer technical questions from the developers who will integrate with our service. They'll stay connected on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform partnership strategies and identify new business opportunities. Expertise in specialized areas such as AWS, APIs, developer evangelism, 3D, and game development is a definite plus. Key job responsibilities Strategic Partner Pipeline: Identify and prioritize potential partners including content developers, content distributors, technology providers, brands and other relevant stakeholders who can collaborate with us to bring our next generation shopping vision to life; Business Development: Develop and nurture relationships with decision-makers at potential partner organizations to understand their business needs, capabilities, pain points, and strategic objectives; Technical Consultation: Be a technical advisor to partners, offering insights into our platform capabilities, integration opportunities, and our potential value proposition for their business; Proposal Development: Collaborate cross-functionally both within the Amazon Anywhere team as well as across other Amazon divisions to develop proposals and that solve for partner needs and our strategic objectives; Negotiation and Contract Development: Lead our negotiations with potential partners including terms related to CX, technology integration, revenue sharing, and GTM initiatives; Project Management: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful execution of partnership initiatives, including technical integrations, pilot programs, and joint marketing campaigns; Relationship Management: Foster strong and collaborative relationships with existing partners to drive ongoing engagement, identify opportunities for expansion, and address challenges or issues that arise. Business Analysis and Product Collaboration: Assess and size potential business opportunities, collaborating closely with Product teams to influence the development of feature roadmaps.
