Freelance French-Speaking Movie & TV Editor
JustWatch (www.justwatch.com) – the world’s largest streaming guide – is looking for an editor with at least 5 years of experience and a proven track record of growth in the entertainment vertical. The ideal candidate will contribute to and maintain French language content for our localized site in France and be able to communicate and report internally in English.
We are looking for someone who is driven by curiosity, a passion for entertainment journalism, meticulous attention to detail, and a goal-driven mentality, with the ability to keep tight deadlines and oversee a team of writers. This is a fully remote position, so experience excelling in a freelance, work-from-home environment is crucial.
What will you be doingEdit and post daily content (especially lists and features) for the France market Create original copy in French for fields such as movie/TV synopses, social media posts, and descriptions of content providers (streaming services) Staying up-to-date with and generating ideas about mainstream movie & TV show releases for France and the French-speaking market Researching and staying on top of upcoming Hollywood and local movie & TV releases
What we need from youA native French speaker with 5 years of proven experience overseeing growth-driven results in the daily editorial operations of a French-language entertainment website Experience managing a team of global writers remotely Previous experience working with SEO best practices Considerable knowledge and passion for movies and TV shows Excellent communication skills in both French and English
