AWS Data Platform Architect / Addison, TX (Remote) ,6-12 Months Contract
6-12 month opportunity to work 100% remotely from anywhere in the US. Will need to work Central or Eastern time zone hours/schedule. Required Skills:
- 10+ years of Data Analysis/Engineering experience
- Previous hands-on Data Platform implementation experience
- 5+ years of AWS Data experience (RedShift, DMS, etc.)
- 3+ years of Data Architect experience with a focus on AWS Platform
- Previous client-facing Consulting experience (not just contracting)
Preferred Skills:
- Applicable training and/or certification
- Education technology (EdTech) industry experience
Responsibilities:
- This is a multi-phase project. The first phase is expected to be 2-3 months with a focus on data platform solutions design (ingestion, presentation layer, descriptive analytics) for a large Education Technology company. It will be AWS based, and they are currently leaning towards a stack of Glue, LakeFormation/Redshift, Data Ingestion Tooling (Fivetran, AWS DMS, etc.), Presentation (Quicksight, Tableau, etc).
- The following phase will be implementation and then finally a handoff to the run/operations team.
