Florida Design Drilling LLC (FDD) is a rapidly growing licensed water well and general contractor. We are a leading provider of water well drilling and water resource construction services located in West Palm Beach, Florida which specializes in solutions for industrial, irrigation, and commercial clients. As a Floorhand/Derrickhand, you assist Project Superintendents and lead foreman with drill operations and maintenance of equipment. Duties and responsibilities focus on helping with the deployment of drill rigs, transporting, loading, and unloading equipment, and logging information from the job site during a drilling operation. Applicants must be reliable and motivated with a drive and willingness to work hard and learn. Requirements and qualifications include: ? Work with experienced drillers to set up rigs and drilling equipment. ? Cap well or regulates valves which control outflow of water. ? Attach and detach lifting equipment to lower or raise sections of drill pipe into or out of bore hole. ? Control pumps that circulate mud through drilling equipment. ? Service pump. ? Relevant experience of fieldwork in the water well drilling industry. ? Ability to be adaptable and step in to work multiple roles if required. ? Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver?s license. ? Willing and physically able to work outdoors for long hours have the ability to travel. ? Ability to communicate proficiently in English. ? Required to stay out of town for extended periods and work various shifts as needed. ? Availability to work beyond 8-hour workday; available to work weekends and holidays if needed. ? Employment is contingent on successful results of a negative drug screen.
