Teller - Full Time

About the position The Teller position at Allied Federal Credit Union is designed to assist members with their financial needs by providing efficient and convenient financial services. The role involves cross-selling products, processing transactions, and ensuring a high level of customer service to enhance the member experience. Tellers serve as the first point of contact for members, handling various monetary transactions and inquiries in a professional manner. Responsibilities • Cross sell products and services , • Comply with established policy and procedures , • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of member information , • Receive member telephone calls , • Process deposits and disburse cash or check withdrawals , • Verify transactions , • Monitor deposit amounts and examine documents for endorsement and negotiability , • Detect and resolve discrepancies promptly , • Process loan and VISA credit card payments , • Process transfer requests , • Process cash advance, cashiers check and money order requests , • Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals , • Daily vault balancing and cash coordination , • Provide assistance with bank wires , • Answer questions and solve problems for members , • Troubleshoot online banking and bill pay problems for members , • Answer basic IRA questions for members , • Issue temporary checks and process check orders , • Perform file maintenance and account changes as needed , • File documents , • Process incoming and outgoing mail , • Other duties as assigned Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required , • Cash handling experience , • Good communication skills , • Good math skills , • Professional appearance, dress and attitude , • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment , • Ability to sit and/or stand for periods of up to two hours or more , • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds , • Must have reliable transportation Nice-to-haves • Experience in relationship management , • Bilingual in Spanish Benefits • 401(k) , • 401(k) 3% Match , • Credit union membership , • Dental insurance , • Employee assistance program , • Health insurance , • Life insurance , • Opportunities for advancement , • Paid orientation , • Paid sick time , • Paid time off , • Paid training , • Prescription drug insurance , • Vision insurance Apply Job!
