Bailey Collaborative Soultions is seeking talented Flight Software Developers to support NASA's Orion Program, the cornerstone of deep space exploration, including the Artemis missions to the Moon and beyond. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining mission-critical flight software to ensure the reliability and functionality of Orion's onboard systems throughout spaceflight. Orion represents the future of human space exploration, designed to transport astronauts beyond Earth's orbit for the first time in decades. As a Flight Software Developer, you will contribute to cutting-edge aerospace technology, developing systems that guide, control, and operate Orion throughout its missions. This position is based in Houston, TX with potential hybrid or remote work options available for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain flight software in C++ and Python for the Orion spacecraft.
  • Work with real-time operating systems (RTEMS/RTOS) to support mission-critical applications.
  • Develop and enhance simulation models for software verification and validation.
  • Contribute to Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking (RPOD) software solutions.
  • Develop and integrate software within the Core Flight System (CFS)/Core Flight Executive (CFE) framework.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and mission teams to ensure software meets performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to facility security regulations.
  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python for software development.
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices and lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing software within the Core Flight System (CFS)/Core Flight Executive (CFE) framework.
  • Knowledge of simulation development and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
  • Familiarity with Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking (RPOD) flight software.
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTEMS/RTOS) for aerospace applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex software systems.
