About the position The Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) Online Teacher at Elev8 Online Schools is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing personalized instructional programs in an online learning environment. This role aims to support and encourage students in developing their academic potential, fulfilling diploma requirements, and preparing for post-secondary transitions. The position is seasonal and full-time, with shifts available during the day and evening, and is set to begin in June 2025. Responsibilities • Plan, organize, and implement personalized instructional programs in an online learning environment. , • Meet California Teaching Standards and maintain accurate record keeping as defined by the California Department of Education. , • Assign individualized courses of study to students and monitor their credit completion. , • Review and evaluate homework submissions, providing feedback within 24-48 hours. , • Manage online discussion boards to encourage student participation and learning. , • Administer assessments to newly enrolled students and monitor their progress throughout the courses. , • Maintain organized student records and close out folders at the end of learning periods or upon student withdrawal or graduation. , • Claim daily attendance and report it accurately. , • Teach scheduled labs with approved curriculum and complete report cards after each semester. , • Participate in state and school mandated testing and attend all staff meetings and professional development activities. Requirements • Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in a designated subject, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements. , • Valid California Single Subject or Multiple Subject teaching credential or permit. , • English Learner Authorization. , • 2 years of verified full-time experience as a high school instructor preferred. , • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications. Nice-to-haves • Knowledge of California Teaching Standards and educational trends. , • Experience with research-based instructional strategies for diverse student populations. , • Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on excellent customer service.
