Key Responsibilities
Perform data entry tasks, including processing prescriptions, patient information, and medical records Ensure accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions, including verifying patient information, medication orders, and dosages Provide exceptional patient experiences by responding to patient inquiries, resolving issues, and offering support Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, doctors, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy operations, including workflow, prescription fulfillment, and clinical documentation Utilize technology, including pharmacy management systems and electronic health records, to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills in pharmacy operations and patient services Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or related field Current pharmacy licensure in the state(s) within the region Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate strong knowledge of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations Certified Immunizer or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a remote setting with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and checkout, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walgreens, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
