About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Data‑Center Infrastructure

At arenaflex, we design, build, and operate some of the most advanced data‑center hardware platforms on the planet. Our mission is to deliver ultra‑reliable, high‑performance infrastructure that powers the digital experiences of billions of users worldwide. From the moment a server rack is conceptualized to the day it is decommissioned, every component is engineered with precision, sustainability, and scalability in mind. As a leader in the technology‑driven hardware space, arenaflex invests heavily in innovative manufacturing processes, lean production methodologies, and continuous improvement cultures. Join a team that not only builds hardware but also shapes the future of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and edge services.

Why This Role Matters – The Impact of a Remote Data Entry & Manufacturing Engineer

The Remote Data Entry & Manufacturing Engineering position sits at the intersection of data integrity, product design, and large‑scale manufacturing. In this role you will be the guardian of accurate product data, the architect of efficient assembly processes, and a key collaborator with cross‑functional teams that translate design intent into physical reality. Your work ensures that every component—whether a high‑voltage power module or a precision‑engineered chassis—meets the exacting standards of quality, cost, and reliability that arenaflex’s customers expect.

Core Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Data Management & Integrity: Create, maintain, and audit Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) within the Product Data Management (PDM) system.
  • Process Design & Optimization: Design, implement, and continuously improve flexible manufacturing processes for data‑center equipment, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and scalability.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Planning, Design, and Operations teams to identify potential manufacturing challenges early in the product development lifecycle.
  • Technical Analysis: Analyze complex design specifications, translate them into manufacturable processes, and recommend solutions that improve throughput and reliability.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Lead the evaluation, qualification, and performance monitoring of suppliers, ensuring they meet arenaflex’s stringent quality and delivery standards.
  • Lifecycle Management: Drive the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives, overseeing the transition of products from prototype to mass production and eventual end‑of‑life.
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and 8D methodologies to identify waste, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall process efficiency.
  • Travel & Field Work: Participate in on‑site visits to manufacturing facilities and data‑center farms up to 30% of the time to support implementation and troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications – The Essentials You Must Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in assembly, quality assurance, reliability engineering, or product design.
  • Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and processes.
  • Five (5) years of experience planning and executing high‑voltage applications in large‑scale server‑farm environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain accurate product data (BOM, AVL, ECN) within a PDM system.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of leading yield improvements and cycle‑time reductions for high‑volume, high‑complexity parts.
  • Hands‑on experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, 8D problem‑solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Background in power‑distribution design for data‑center farms, including high‑voltage safety standards.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies such as automated pick‑and‑place, robotic assembly, and precision machining.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, Certified Manufacturing Engineer) are a plus.

Core Skills & Competencies – Tools for Success

  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill), and data‑management platforms.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect design intent, identify manufacturing bottlenecks, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Project Leadership: Experience leading multidisciplinary projects from concept through production launch.
  • Lean Mindset: Strong commitment to waste elimination, process standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of technical concepts to both engineering and non‑technical audiences.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast‑paced, remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity.
