Position Overview

The Remote Clinical Data Entry Specialist plays a critical role in the execution of arenaflex’s centralized pharmacy services. You will be the guardian of data quality for medication records, patient interactions, and compliance initiatives. Working from a home office, you will collaborate with pharmacists, clinical teams, and payer partners to ensure that every piece of information entered into our systems is precise, secure, and aligned with regulatory requirements. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $27, a full‑time schedule of 8 hours per day, and the flexibility to work remotely from any location within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform direct patient care programs, including medication therapy management, vaccination administration, and payer‑pharma adherence projects.
  • Drive consistency and quality improvement by reviewing, analyzing, and redesigning data entry processes; monitor outcomes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure regional pharmacy compliance with standard operating procedures, FDA regulations, and state pharmacy board requirements.
  • Support local pharmacy financial performance by aligning data workflows with arenaflex’s revenue goals and patient‑outcome initiatives.
  • Enhance the patient experience by accurately documenting clinical services such as consultations, prescription fills, medication reviews, and specialty program interactions.
  • Provide expertise, resources, and training to pharmacy staff and field teams; act as a trusted advisor on data‑related best practices.
  • Conduct data and clinical audits, making decisive actions to guarantee prescription accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Review medication histories and patient profiles to confirm safe and effective treatment plans; deliver personalized patient‑provider communication.
  • Utilize superior interpersonal skills to build trust with patients, actively listening to concerns and offering clear guidance on pharmacy services.
  • Collect and relay feedback on the Patient Support Program, contributing insights that shape future service enhancements.
  • Respond promptly to all patient inquiries, providing accurate information and resolving issues in accordance with HIPAA and internal policies.
  • Offer clinical counseling and education to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and compliance standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Active pharmacy license in the state of practice, issued by the appropriate state board of pharmacy.
  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate colleagues to investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience handling confidential information with strict adherence to privacy regulations.
  • Proven track record of managing non‑standard work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
  • Strong time‑management skills: ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Self‑directed problem‑solving capability; comfortable developing strategies and executing plans with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service experience serving both internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on quality and satisfaction.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10 % of the time for business purposes, both within and outside the state, when required.

Preferred Skills & Additional Competencies

  • Readiness to obtain additional state pharmacy licenses as business needs evolve.
  • Knowledge of health‑insurance plans and payer processes.
  • Proficiency with computer operating systems, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and data‑entry platforms.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation, chart creation, and macro basics).
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint (slide design, animation, multimedia integration, and presentation delivery).
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Word (document formatting, track changes, mail merge, and template creation).
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software (e.g., RxConnect, PioneerRx, or similar systems) is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous data entry and verification to prevent medication errors.
  • Compliance Mindset: Deep understanding of HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data trends, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements.
