Telecommunications Central Office Lead Installer Level IV
Description:
- Lead installation, re-configuration, integration, removal, and maintenance of central office and data center equipment.
- Supervise assigned crew members and review the quality of their work, time, and expense documentation.
- Perform advanced installation work on AC/DC power systems, fiber systems, infrastructure, and supervisory/alarm systems.
- Install, route, terminate, label, and test cables and equipment in technical spaces.
- Read and apply method of procedures, order specifications, floor plans, schematics, wiring documentation, and test records.
- Generate MOPs, high-risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.
- Perform turn-up, integration, system testing, and quality validation on in-process and completed work.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to complete projects and resolve issues.
- Perform quality audits to ensure work meets industry and customer standards.
- Operate as a working lead and support lower-level installers and technicians on basic installation and testing tasks.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of installation experience, or an approved combination of experience and training.
- Prior leadership experience is required.
- High school diploma plus two years of technical school, or equivalent communications installation training and experience.
- Mastery of Telco Standard TP76300 and Level 4 installer duties with high accuracy.
- Experience with transport equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, Juniper, and similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of fiber installation standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and follow MOPs, floor plans, engineering documents, schematics, and wiring documentation.
- Proficient laptop and Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to pass pre-employment background checks, and be insurable; valid passport is a plus.

- Base pay range of $68,000 to $80,000 USD.
