[Remote] Epic Clin Doc + Bugsy Principal Trainer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ellit Groups is a healthcare IT consulting firm focused on Provider and Payer organizations. They are seeking an experienced Epic Certified Principal Trainer specializing in ClinDoc and Bugsy to support a large-scale training initiative for a Midwest healthcare client, primarily delivering instructor-led training sessions for end users.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor-led Epic training for end users, super users, and clinical staff
- Facilitate onsite classroom training during the 8-week intensive training period
- Support training development activities including curriculum updates, job aids, and tip sheets
- Assist with Training, Design, Development, and Requirements (TDR) activities
- Translate clinical workflows into clear, structured training content for end users
- Partner with clinical, operational, and project teams to ensure training aligns with system build and workflows
- Support training environment readiness and validation activities
- Participate in go-live preparation, activation support, and stabilization efforts
- Provide at-the-elbow support during training and post-go-live periods as needed
- Conduct learner assessments and competency validation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training documentation aligned with system changes
- Promote strong end-user adoption of Epic ClinDoc and Bugsy workflows through effective facilitation and adult learning techniques
Skills
- Epic ClinDoc Certification
- Epic Bugsy Certification
- Epic Principal Trainer credential (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Proven experience delivering classroom-based Epic training in a healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of inpatient clinical workflows and documentation processes
- Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives
- Ability to develop and update training materials, including job aids and tip sheets
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
- Comfortable working onsite during extended training and activation periods
- Experience working across multiple Epic applications and integrated workflows
- Multi-Epic application training experience (ClinDoc + ancillary or inpatient modules)
- Epic inpatient ecosystem familiarity (Orders, ASAP, OpTime, Beaker, Willow exposure a plus)
- Large-scale Epic go-live and activation support experience
- Experience in integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or multi-site health systems
- Background in clinical informatics, nursing, or hospital operations
- Change management or user adoption experience
