[Remote] AI Automation Engineer

They are hiring an AI Automation Engineer to identify, design, build, and iterate on automations across complex healthcare operations workflows, requiring strong technical skills and product judgment.
Responsibilities
- Shadow operational teams and identify high-leverage automation opportunities
- Build and ship production-grade workflow automations and backend services
- Iterate on automations based on real operator feedback and measurable impact
- Partner with teams to completely reimagine existing clinical and administrative workflows, which may be website, database, and backend changes, or building AI-native features directly into those workflows
- Use AI-native tools to accelerate development and rethink how work should be done
- Translate business rules, exceptions, and edge cases into durable systems
- Help define reusable automation patterns for provider operations
- Partner with the team to expand the team’s AI-native capacity
Skills
- Senior-level engineering experience in fullstack, backend, platform, or workflow-heavy systems
- Strong ability to work across highly cross-functional teams and complex workflows
- Strong product judgment and ability to discover requirements directly from users/operators
- Deep curiosity about AI-native development tools and automation patterns
- 5-7 years of experience
- Fluent in Typescript and Postgres
- Experience in OpenAI, Cursor, or Claude
- AI-native builder mindset, workflow discovery, automation taste, cross-functional collaboration, high agency, and learning velocity
