- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
- Lead backend design discussions and contribute to technical architecture decisions
- Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data storage strategies
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver features end-to-end
- Implement security, data protection, and compliance measures
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards
