[Remote] Platform Engineering Lead
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Coder is an AI software development company leading the future of autonomous coding. As the Platform Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading architectural and technical decisions related to platform engineering and internal DevOps, while also contributing hands-on to the team and setting standards for infrastructure improvement.
Responsibilities
- Drive architecture decisions related to infrastructure and deployments
- Support internal infrastructure for engineering
- Translate product vision into clear technical roadmaps; drive execution end‑to‑end
- Train and uplift engineering and field teams on infrastructure-related work
- Hold a high bar for code quality, security, and performance; instill best practices
Skills
- 7+ years in infrastructure and platform engineering, with at least 3 years leading teams
- Proven record of shipping software to large enterprise customers
- Experience contributing to or leading open source projects
- Deep technical foundation in Linux
- Deep technical foundation in Kubernetes & containers
- Deep technical foundation in at least one major public cloud (e.g. AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Deep technical foundation in IP networking & HTTP fundamentals
- Deep technical foundation in Infrastructure as Code
- Significant professional experience with our tech stack
- Prior work on developer tooling
- Public open source contributions
- You still carve out time to code, either at work or on passion projects
