[Remote] Business Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PMO Partners, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to partner with stakeholders and drive the successful intake, definition, and prioritization of business initiatives. The role focuses on improving project readiness by ensuring requests are clear, complete, and aligned with strategic goals before entering the delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure project requests are well-defined, complete, and actionable
  • Facilitate early discussions to clarify needs, expectations, and desired outcomes
  • Ensure alignment of project requests with organizational goals and strategic priorities
  • Design, build, and continuously refine a project intake framework/form that captures critical information required for evaluation and prioritization
  • Standardize intake processes to enable objective comparison and informed decision-making
  • Ensure all submissions meet quality standards before review and prioritization
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements early in the project lifecycle
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear, structured requirements and supporting documentation
  • Ensure requirements are complete, validated, and ready for development teams before backlog entry
  • Proactively identify missing information, assumptions, dependencies, and potential risks
  • Evaluate feasibility and highlight constraints before project execution begins
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve gaps and mitigate risks early
  • Continuously enhance the intake, planning, and pre-delivery processes to improve efficiency and clarity
  • Recommend and implement best practices to streamline project readiness and reduce rework
  • Enable smoother transitions from request intake to execution by improving upstream quality

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
  • Proven ability to manage project intake and prioritization processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
  • Experience designing or improving intake frameworks, governance models, or PMO processes
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
  • Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent
  • Experience working in the legal industry or with legal operations is a plus, but not required
