[Remote] Senior Metadata Ingestion Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. iSphere is looking for a Senior Metadata Ingestion Analyst who can take complicated technical data and translate it into understandable business language. This role involves bridging the gap between technical teams and business users, helping to build trusted metadata and support analytics and AI-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and translate complex technical concepts into clear business language
- Work comfortably with technical teams and program leadership
- Help bridge the gap between source systems, data governance platforms, reporting teams, and business users
- Build trusted metadata, business glossaries, data lineage, and reporting assets that support analytics, decision-making, and AI-driven initiatives
- Facilitate discussions around data definitions, business rules, and reporting requirements
- Validate outputs from AI-related initiatives and identify potential inaccuracies
- Improve prompt strategies and help users get meaningful results from emerging AI tools
- Establish common definitions and improve metadata quality
Skills
- 8+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, data analysis, or data governance roles
- Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating complex technical concepts into clear business language
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and enrichment
- Experience working with metadata, business glossaries, data lineage, or data catalog initiatives
- Experience partnering with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to facilitate discussions around data definitions, business rules, and reporting requirements
- Data governance and data quality programs
- Enterprise data warehouses and business intelligence environments
- Metadata management and glossary tools such as Informatica EDC and Axon
- Training and mentoring users with varying levels of data literacy
- Health and human services or other highly regulated environments
- AI prompt development and AI-assisted data discovery initiatives
