Why This Role Matters

As an Air Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be the frontline liaison between our guests, travel agents, airlines, and internal teams. Your expertise in airline reservation systems, ticketing, and guest communication will ensure seamless air travel experiences that complement our world‑class cruise itineraries. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States (excluding a few restricted states) while contributing to a brand that values excellence, integrity, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls, chat messages, and emails related to air travel issues, providing accurate and timely resolutions.
  • Process ticketing activities—including issuance, refunds, exchanges, and re‑pricing—to ensure guests receive the correct fare and itinerary.
  • Identify and correct incomplete Passenger Name Records (PNR) caused by missing TSA data or unavailable airfares.
  • Realign pricing within PNRs, generating additional revenue where applicable and ensuring compliance with fare rules.
  • Certify all air tickets issued by updating the ticket match exception report and confirming ticket validity.
  • Assign ancillary services (e.g., baggage, seat upgrades, special meals) based on guest requests and preferences.
  • Coordinate entertainment, crew executive travel, VIP requests, and maintain clear communication with port agents, hotels, and ground transportation partners.
  • Research and validate crew air schedules that fall outside budgeted parameters, providing cost‑effective alternatives.
  • Manage last‑minute crew changes, ensuring swift re‑accommodation and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide next‑port protection coverage by re‑accommodating passengers when flight changes occur.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to reduce communication‑related errors and improve overall service quality.
  • Uphold arenaflex’s core values through consistent, professional behavior and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership, including shipboard email inbox management and support for en‑route issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the travel, hospitality, or high‑volume call‑center environment.
  • Proficiency with the Sabre airline reservation system, including booking creation, ticketing, exchanges, pricing, routing, and queue processing.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software tools quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to interact professionally with travel suppliers, port agents, crew members, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities and a keen eye for detail when handling complex ticketing scenarios.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; arenaflex does not sponsor work visas.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Previous experience supporting cruise‑related air travel or working for a global hospitality brand.
  • Certification or training in airline reservation systems (e.g., Sabre Certified Agent).
  • Familiarity with TSA regulations and airline fare construction.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a calm, customer‑centric demeanor.
  • Experience with remote work tools such as Slack, Zoom, and ticketing platforms.
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus, especially Spanish or French, to support a diverse guest base.
