Join arenaflex and Bring Your Heart to Every Conversation

At arenaflex, we believe that how we serve is just as important as what we deliver. Our purpose is simple yet powerful: bringing genuine care, empathy, and dedication to every moment of every interaction. As a forward-thinking organization operating in the healthcare and pharmacy benefit management space, arenaflex is committed to making health care more personal, more accessible, and more affordable for millions of members across the country.

We are currently expanding our Caremark Member Operations division and are hiring Remote Customer Care Representatives based in North Carolina. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who thrive in a service-driven environment, enjoy solving problems, and want to build a meaningful career in the healthcare industry — all from the comfort of a home office.

If you are looking for a flexible work schedule, a supportive team culture, and the chance to make a real difference in people's lives every single day, we invite you to explore this opportunity with arenaflex.

About the Role

As a Remote Customer Care Representative at arenaflex, you will be the trusted first point of contact for our pharmacy benefit plan members. You will handle inbound calls, answer important questions about prescription insurance, medication coverage, and mail-order pharmacy services, and guide members toward a clearer understanding of their healthcare options. Your goal is to simplify what can often feel like a complex healthcare experience and to leave every member feeling heard, supported, and confident in their coverage.

No two days are exactly alike. You will have the opportunity to service a wide variety of clients and call types, including Commercial plans, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and several specialized client programs. As our business continues to evolve, you will receive comprehensive training to upskill and grow, enabling you to support new client and member inquiries as business needs arise.

This role is more than a job — it is a gateway into the rapidly growing healthcare industry. Through your day-to-day work, you will gain valuable knowledge about health insurance, pharmacy benefits, and patient advocacy, opening doors to numerous career advancement opportunities within arenaflex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound calls from pharmacy benefit plan members in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner
  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding prescription insurance coverage, medication benefits, and mail-order pharmacy options
  • Assist members in understanding their pharmacy benefit plans and navigating available resources
  • Document all member interactions accurately within company systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
  • Identify member needs and offer appropriate solutions to help simplify their healthcare experience
  • Handle a variety of call types across multiple client programs, including Commercial, Medicare Part D, and Medicaid
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on product knowledge, system updates, and industry best practices
  • Maintain reliability and compliance with scheduling standards, including flexibility to adjust hours based on business needs
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and confidence in every member interaction, especially during complex or emotionally sensitive conversations
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to continuously improve the member experience

Work From Home Flexibility

arenaflex offers a robust Work From Home (WFH) opportunity for representatives who meet specific criteria. To succeed in a remote role, you will need to maintain a reliable high-speed internet connection, set up a secure and distraction-free home workspace, and successfully complete our comprehensive training program. Adherence to HIPAA regulations and all governmental compliance standards is required in this role.

Our training program spans a minimum of six weeks and is thoughtfully designed to set you up for long-term success. You will experience a blended learning approach that includes hands-on practice, interactive trainer-led sessions, self-paced online modules, and direct leadership engagement from your very first day. Depending on individual experience, training may include a combination of onsite and work-from-home components.

We are currently offering full-time schedules ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week, with days off and hours varying based on business needs. Because call volume can fluctuate, you may occasionally be asked to increase your standard hours during peak periods or reduce hours during slower times. Any schedule adjustments will be communicated with advance notice and will not impact your benefit eligibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience interacting with customers in a professional setting (such as a call center, retail environment, customer service role, hospitality industry, or military experience)
  • Strong computer proficiency in Windows-based applications
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, secure home workspace
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet all WFH eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare-related role
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in a positive, productive manner
  • Comfort and confidence when relating to customers in a patient, helpful, and empathetic way
  • Strong customer service skills, including courteous telephone etiquette and professional communication
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Reliability and a strong commitment to compliance with scheduling standards
  • Ability to exhibit patience, empathy, assurance, and confidence — even during challenging interactions

Skills and Competencies for Success

To excel as a Remote Customer Care Representative at arenaflex, you will bring a unique combination of technical aptitude and human-centered soft skills. We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are active listeners who can quickly understand member concerns

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
  • Can manage multiple systems and screens while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Display resilience and emotional intelligence when handling difficult conversations
  • Are self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently from a home office
  • Have a genuine desire to help others and improve healthcare experiences
