Board Proceedings Analyst (Appeals)

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Board Proceedings Analyst to support the Board of Equalization's monthly meetings. The role involves interpreting laws, preparing meeting agendas, and collaborating with the Executive Team to ensure compliance with BOE policies and State mandates.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets and applies applicable laws, rules, regulations, and takes actions in the staging of the California Board of Equalization's (BOE) monthly Board meetings
  • Plans, holds, and officially records each Board Meeting under the Rules of Tax Appeals, the Bagley-Keene Act, The Kopp Act, and the Roberts Rules of Order
  • Uses sound judgment in analyzing and applying rules, policies, and regulations in preparing for monthly Board Public Agenda notices for meetings
  • Performs Board Meeting reception duties and responsibilities during the meetings
  • Archives Board documents and records
  • Administratively processes tax appeals
  • Collaborates with the Executive Team and BOE program areas in preparing for Board Meeting agendas and logistics to ensure BOE policies and State mandates are met and adhered to

Skills

  • Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov
  • All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position
  • A completed Supplemental Questionnaire (SQ) must be submitted with your STD. 678 in order to be considered for this position
