Law Firm Billing Clerk

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

O'Hagan Meyer is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our busy law firm in the Chicago Loop. The ideal candidate will help ensure that billing processes run smoothly and efficiently by monitoring the general billing inbox and reviewing finalized work for errors before submission.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the general billing inbox
  • Help billing team with performing edits to attorneys' time at the prebill stage
  • Look over finalized work, reviewing for errors or duplicate entries before turning in the final product
  • Prepare emails to clients with approved invoices under deductibles
  • Other tasks as assigned by department leadership

Skills

  • Accurate typing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe (PDFs)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in data/task management
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a team-player mindset
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
