Technical Consultant (Master Mariner/Chief Engineer)

As a Technical Consultant at BSM, you will provide specialist technical expertise and advisory support to ship and shore teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant vessel operations. You will work closely with Marine, Technical, and IS teams to diagnose, implement, and optimise technical solutions, manage projects, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Review Reports: Check on the technical details on the reports, the layout and the critical information required to deliver optimal results to our customers. Give feedback and rating on the quality of the surveyors : Upon reviewing the reports, to be able to give us feedback on the quality of the job delivered from the surveyors and to rate them in our records. Brief the surveyors prior attendances: Depending on the scope of each job, we need to able to brief the surveyors on the areas which they shall focus and on any technical information that they need to be aware of as to ensure they cover a throughout attendance. Support the OPS team with Technical specific information: To be able to assist with information and support, whether technical clarifications are required from the OPS team Work Experience: Experienced Technical Superintendent (Chief Engineer) or Experienced Marine Superintendent (Master Mariner) Minimum Qualifications: at least 25 Years of experience and at least 4 years as a C/E /Master/ TSI or MSI in any type of vessel. Job-Specific Skills: Report Writing, English Fluency, good communicating skills, Understanding on the technical specifications of Condition Inspection, Internal Audits, Navigational Audits, pre-PSC inspections.
