Senior Revenue Accountant
Job Description
A Day in the life: Lead revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review, performance obligation identification, and transaction price allocation. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses with supporting documentation. Support external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to revenue-related inquiries. Maintain and improve revenue policies, procedures, and internal controls in Drive process automation and scalability initiatives. Assist in NetSuite implementation MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting4+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or SaaS experience preferred) Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles Experience with NetSuite and/or Sage Intacct NetSuite implementation experience is a plus Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, V-lookups) and experience supporting process improvements Adaptable to a dynamic, fast-paced business environmentAble to collaborate with cross-functional teams Key Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Effective communication and relationship management with internal and external stakeholdersInitiative to streamline processes and contribute to the team’s efficiency
