AI Systems & Automation Consultant (Claude Code & Business Automation)
We’re helping a private investor and entrepreneur find an AI Systems & Automation Consultant to support a growing portfolio of businesses spanning real estate, lending, and SaaS investments. This is an opportunity to work directly with a founder who is actively building and investing in multiple ventures, with AI and automation playing a central role in future growth. The Role We are seeking a highly capable AI Systems & Automation Consultant to design, build, and optimize AI-powered workflows, systems, and operational processes across multiple businesses and investment initiatives. This is not a task-based automation role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, understand business processes, identify inefficiencies, and independently design solutions using AI, automation, and modern development tools. The ideal candidate combines strong automation expertise with business acumen and is comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where requirements may initially be ambiguous. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, building scalable systems, and helping businesses leverage AI to operate more efficiently. Role Details Commitment: Part-Time (20 hours/week) Location: Fully Remote (PH-based candidates preferred) Working Hours: Perth business hours (Manila-based candidates can work standard PH daytime hours) Engagement: Independent Contractor Start Date: ASAP Monthly Rate: USD $800–1,200/month (can be higher depending on level of experience)
What You'll Do
AI Systems & Automation Development (Core Focus) Design, build, and optimize AI-powered workflows across multiple businesses and projects Automate operational, administrative, financial, and customer-facing processes Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation throughout the organization Build scalable systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and decision-making Continuously refine and improve existing automation infrastructure Claude Code & AI Ecosystem Management Utilize Claude Code as a primary development and productivity environment Build and maintain reusable prompts, agents, workflows, and AI-assisted operating systems Organize and manage multiple Claude projects across different businesses and entities Establish best practices around AI governance, documentation, knowledge management, and project architecture Build AI-powered solutions that automate recurring workflows and operational processes Systems Integration & Process Optimization Build and manage workflows using tools such as:Claude Code n8n Make Zapier Relevance AI OpenAI and Anthropic APIs Integrate systems across CRM platforms, finance tools, document management systems, marketing platforms, and internal operating systems Analyze business processes and recommend automation strategies and technology solutions Create SOPs, documentation, and implementation plans to support scalability Strategic Projects & Business Transformation Support the development and automation of a lending platform connecting borrowers and investors Build workflows for:KYC and onboarding Investor onboarding Deal intake Loan application processing Automated document generation Pipeline management Reporting and dashboards Support the acquisition and optimization of SaaS businesses by:Mapping operational processes Identifying automation opportunities Building AI-enabled operating systems Automating reporting, customer support, and internal workflows Develop repeatable frameworks that can be deployed across multiple portfolio companies
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves Strong experience building automation systems and workflows (at least 3 years) Advanced proficiency with Claude Code Experience with AI-assisted development workflows Hands-on experience with n8n and/or similar automation platforms Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agent architecture Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations Strong systems thinking and process design capabilities Ability to build end-to-end automation solutions independently Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong written and verbal English communication skills Business & Industry Understanding Comfortable understanding and working within:Financial workflows Lending processes Business operations SaaS business models Investment and due diligence processes Able to translate high-level business objectives into practical systems and workflows Nice-to-Haves Experience in lending, fintech, credit, or financial services Private equity, venture capital, or investment industry exposure SaaS operations experience Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive Python or other programming experience Experience building AI agents, internal tools, or operational dashboards Consulting, strategy, or operations background Ideal Candidate Profile This role is ideal for someone who: Naturally looks for ways to automate and improve processes Enjoys solving complex operational problems Can take a vague objective and independently build a solution Thinks like a consultant rather than simply an executor Is highly organized and structured Can manage multiple projects simultaneously Has strong commercial awareness and business judgment Is comfortable working directly with founders, investors, and senior stakeholders Balances technical capability with practical business thinking Is proactive in identifying opportunities rather than waiting for instructions We're looking for someone who combines the mindset of a consultant, the execution ability of a builder, and the curiosity of an AI enthusiast.
