Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated, empathetic, and detail‑oriented individuals to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team as Remote Customer Service Representatives. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between patients, health‑care providers, insurance partners, and internal teams, ensuring that specialty medication orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and with the utmost care.

Location: Florida (must reside within 75 miles of 9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando, FL 32819)

Shift Options (Eastern Standard Time)

  • 11:30 am – 8:00 pm
  • 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Provide courteous, knowledgeable telephone support to patients receiving specialty drug therapy, answering questions about medication, benefits, and the ordering process.
  • Order Management: Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verification of insurance benefits, copay collection, and authorization acquisition.
  • System Entry: Accurately translate prescription information into the pharmacy information system, ensuring all data fields are completed and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Financial Coordination: Communicate copay amounts to patients, collect payments, and resolve any financial discrepancies before medication fulfillment.
  • Insurance Collaboration: Work closely with insurance companies, pharmacy benefit managers, and health‑care providers to obtain prior authorizations, resolve claim denials, and address clinical or accounts‑receivable issues.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and defer orders that encounter clinical or financial barriers, escalating complex cases to senior specialists when necessary.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of all interactions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and arenaflex internal policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to streamline workflows, improve patient satisfaction scores, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service role, handling complex inquiries over the phone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to type accurately and efficiently (keyboarding experience of at least one year).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; additional certifications are a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a genuine empathy for patients navigating challenging health situations.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office while maintaining a professional, distraction‑free environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a health‑care setting, particularly within pharmacy, benefits administration, or medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes, prior authorizations, and specialty drug handling.
  • Experience using pharmacy management software or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Certification such as Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Certified Customer Service Professional (CCSP).

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $25.65, commensurate with experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
