Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Data Entry Specialist to support the ongoing enrichment and maintenance of arenaflex’s content database. This entry‑level position offers a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes of a world‑renowned streaming service, ensuring that every title, description, genre, and piece of metadata is accurate, up‑to‑date, and ready for seamless delivery to our global audience. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy meticulous work, and are eager to grow within a vibrant media company, this role is designed for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter new content records into the arenaflex database, including titles, synopses, genre classifications, release dates, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain and update existing entries to reflect the latest information, ensuring consistency across all platforms and regional variations.
  • Conduct thorough quality‑checks on entered data, identifying and correcting discrepancies, duplicate entries, or missing fields.
  • Collaborate closely with the Content Acquisition, Localization, and Quality Assurance teams to verify the authenticity of source material and resolve any data‑related issues.
  • Perform supplemental research using internal tools, industry databases, and reputable public sources to enrich metadata with accurate cast, crew, and production details.
  • Document and track data‑related incidents in the internal ticketing system, providing clear descriptions and recommended solutions for follow‑up.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of data entry standards, guidelines, and best practices to improve overall data quality.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, offering insights on workflow efficiencies and contributing ideas for process automation.
  • Support periodic audits of the content library, helping to generate reports that highlight data integrity metrics and trends.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in media metadata standards (e.g., EIDR, ONIX, and schema.org) to proactively suggest enhancements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in data management, information systems, or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using standard office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and data entry platforms; basic familiarity with spreadsheet functions, data validation, and copy‑paste techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and omissions in large data sets.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven track record of managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining orderly records in a high‑volume environment.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey findings clearly to cross‑functional teammates.
  • Team Orientation: Willingness to collaborate, share knowledge, and support colleagues in achieving shared goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Library Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) or digital asset management (DAM) platforms.
  • Exposure to media‑related metadata standards such as EIDR, ISAN, or MPEG‑7.
  • Prior experience in a media, entertainment, or publishing environment, especially in data‑centric roles.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting or macro creation (e.g., VBA, Python) to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data Accuracy: Commitment to delivering error‑free entries and a keen eye for detail.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret content information, recognize patterns, and make logical decisions about data classification.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks, handle competing deadlines, and maintain productivity under pressure.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating evolving processes, new tools, and shifting priorities in a rapidly growing industry.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills that foster constructive teamwork and open communication.
