TexasWorks-Remote Sped Teacher and 504 Case Manager Join to apply for the TexasWorks-Remote Sped Teacher and 504 Case Manager role at Responsive Education Solutions Role Mission ResponsiveEd Special Education teachers are responsible for the achievement and support of students with disabilities. They collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district SPED requirements. What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with campus administration on child find efforts, review general education records, and request special education records within designated timelines.
  • Conduct ARD meetings to determine appropriate placement and develop IEPs for students with disabilities.
  • Assist in acquiring contracted service providers as needed.
  • Schedule and oversee evaluations and review of existing evaluation data, ensuring all timelines are met.
  • Work with general education teachers to provide accommodations and services for students with disabilities.
  • Ensure IEPs are properly written and implemented; evaluate student progress regularly.
  • Update and send IEP report cards to parents alongside general report cards.
  • Support general education teachers with resources and materials to meet educational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with state assessments and administer alternative assessments as required.
  • Assist with the Response to Intervention process and develop transition services for students as determined by ARD.
  • Serve as a resource and trainer for campus staff supporting students with disabilities.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Perform additional duties, including after-hours activities such as Saturday tutorials.

What You’ll Bring

  • A passion for working with students with disabilities.
  • Patience and ability to work interactively with diverse learners.
  • Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
  • Ability to interpret student data and adapt to district and campus changes.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in Special Education (or eligibility for certification).
