Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

President & CEO, Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne (Fort Wayne, IN) – Would you be excited to help shape the cultural future of one of the Midwest’s most dynamic and fast-growing communities. Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking a visionary, collaborative, and community-minded leader to serve as its next President & CEO at a pivotal and exciting moment for both the organization and the northeast Indiana region. Arts United plays a central role in strengthening the quality of life, creativity, and cultural vitality of northeast Indiana with its performing arts venues and offices in Fort Wayne. Arts United is a key connector and advocate for the arts community — bringing together arts organizations, civic leaders, donors, neighborhoods, businesses, educators, and government partners around a shared belief that arts and culture are essential to a thriving community. Arts United supports and amplifies the work of local arts organizations, stewards important shared community assets, and ensures that the arts remain at the table in conversations shaping the future of Fort Wayne. The next President and CEO is an influential and forward-thinking leader who combines strategic vision with executional excellence. This individual is a compelling advocate, skilled fundraiser, and collaborative partner who understands the evolving role of arts and culture in community and economic development. The ideal candidate brings both impact focus locally and a national perspective, with the ability to inspire stakeholders, mobilize resources, and lead innovation in a rapidly changing cultural landscape. This is a high visibility role, created by the retirement of a successful CEO who has served seventeen years with the organization and the past three as President and CEO. Arts United is well-positioned for its next chapter following a successful, $41 mil capital campaign and the continued evolution of its newly renovated Arts Campus and facilities, which provide performance, office, and gathering spaces for the region’s performing arts ecosystem. The next leader will build on the positive momentum and craft an exciting vision for the next chapter. Highlights of exciting opportunities for the next President and CEO

  • Arts United recently completed a successful $41 mil capital campaign that literally “sets the stage” for continued growth.
  • The Arts Campus Fort Wayne has grown to include seven buildings, a public park, and an outdoor market.
  • Fort Wayne is emerging as a national leader in accessibility as Arts United partners with the local WindSwell Foundation to bring new levels of inclusive design.
  • The Arts United board of directors is composed of capable and committed leaders, who are anxious to support the new staff leader.
  • This organization serves as a facility host, advocate for the arts, and as important community infrastructure supporting collaboration, creativity, back office supports, and shared success across the arts.

Compensation: Starting at $160,000 plus health insurance and retirement contribution. Relocation stipend/contribution.
