Regional Underwriting Manager
Job Description:
- Providing overall underwriting excellence through management and tactical direction for Cyber Liability lines of business
- Directing the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives for the Cyber Liability lines
- Delegating underwriting authority
- Approving underwriting referrals
- Taking action to achieve desired underwriting performance and efficiency
- Assessing risk tolerance, market conditions, and emerging risk issues
- Conducting internal underwriting peer reviews to ensure corporate guidelines and best practices are being met
- Serving as the liaison with carrier partners, including reinsurers, regarding underwriting matters
- Identifying new underwriting opportunities
Requirements:
- Mastery of underwriting discipline and knowledge in the insurance field
- Master communication skills critical to building consensus
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Senior level knowledge of the insurance industry, its products, and services
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
- Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent
- Typically a minimum of 15 years of related work experience, with 10 years management experience
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred
