[Remote] Associate Attorney - Connecticut Bar

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC provides elite legal representation to mortgage servicers, and they are seeking an Associate Attorney for their Foreclosure Department. The role involves handling a caseload under the supervision of Senior Attorneys, providing legal analysis, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide status updates, legal analysis, and legal strategy recommendations to clients
  • Handle a caseload, including all aspects of matters from assignment to conclusion under the supervision of Senior Attorneys
  • Perform a comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to filing of the action, including review of loan documents, financials, and demand letters
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence in connection with foreclosure actions
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Exercise the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable

Skills

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Connecticut State Bar Membership
  • New York preferred too but not required
  • Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with LPS/BKFS, Vendorscape, Tempo is helpful
  • Knowledge of Connecticut foreclosure law, documents, procedure, and court process
