Notability is a company focused on improving learning through innovative tools. They are seeking an Engineer to join their Android team to develop high-performing native Android applications and solve technical challenges in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a complex and high-performing native Android application
- Solve difficult technical problems with a cutting edge Android stack
- Participate in code reviews and conversations on software development best practices
- Communicate progress and risks to the team
- Build a product that our customers genuinely love!
Skills
- 1-2 years of experience developing, architecting, optimizing and shipping high performance Android applications written in Kotlin
- Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication & collaboration skills
- Passionate about solutions while humble in the face of opposing ideas
- Desire to embrace the way engineering is changing (more immutable data, functional patterns, etc.) while also being intensely pragmatic
- Experience with large Android codebases and complex, high-performance apps is a plus
- Experience with Jetpack compose is highly desirable
