Domestic Transportation Coordinator

YOU WILL BE: Saks Global's Transportation Coordinator supports the Domestic Transportation team by assisting carriers, vendors and suppliers to ensure efficient movement of freight throughout the Saks Global network. Requirements include proficiency in Google Suite applications, a high level of organizational skills, TMS applications and familiarity of financial applications such as Workday. YOU WILL DO: Shipment Coordination: Oversee the logistics and order tracking for ETA requests for store supply shipments to ensure stores and DCs remain stocked with essential operating materials. Store Delivery & Consolidation Release Management: Manage and maintain an accurate release schedule for all transportation runs to ensure seamless pickups and deliveries. Utilize GPS systems to monitor freight movement and provide real time status updates for DC scheduling. KPI Reporting: Track and review weekly metrics to ensure KPI goals are being achieved. Invoice/Payment Monitoring: Maintain the relationship with carriers and vendors concerning freight payments. Monitor and manage carriers’ open AR reports to ensure all invoices are accurately submitted for payment. Escalate to direct manager any concerns. YOU WILL BRING: Education: A High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related business field is preferred. Experience: Candidates should have hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), have a high level of organizational and communicative skills, be self motivated and can work independently. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should exemplify a high level of organization and be self motivated. He/she should be able to work independently and be able to multi-task.
