The Opportunity Experience: 4+ years experience in sports journalism Role: Contract We are seeking a highly connected Senior Sports Journalist to secure high-profile exclusive interviews, with a primary focus on Indian sports alongside deep coverage of the US sports ecosystem. You will leverage an authoritative knowledge of both markets to build strong relationships with elite athletes, domestic and global media agencies, academies, and team front offices.
Key Responsibilities
Execute 8-10 exclusive interviews with top Indian athletes, coaches, and sports executives across cricket, Olympic disciplines, and other sports. Build and maintain active partnerships with Indian and global sports PR firms, talent management agencies, and elite training academies. Transform exclusive interview insights into high-quality, deeply engaging written features and Q&As, maintaining strict standards of editorial excellence for the website. Requirements 4+ years in sports journalism with a proven track record of landing and executing high-profile exclusive interviews. Deep, verifiable knowledge of both the Indian and US sports (MLB, NFL) landscapes. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently pitch ideas and build rapport with industry professionals and talent representatives. An active professional network within media agencies, sports academies, or team organizations. Ability to manage flexible workflows and scheduling to accommodate talent across different regions/sports seamlessly. Apply To This Job
