Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analytics Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following core duties:

  • Insight Generation: Deliver comprehensive reporting and actionable insights in the paid media domain, translating raw data into strategic recommendations that drive business outcomes.
  • Advanced Analytics Development: Design, build, and lead the development of analytics solutions, business intelligence dashboards, and data science forecasting models aimed at optimizing measurable paid media performance and improving overall marketing efficiency.
  • Media Mix Modeling: Collaborate with the paid media data science team and marketing stakeholders to implement and refine media mix models that inform budget allocation decisions across channels.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct exploratory analysis through database querying, followed by intelligent interpretation of results and the design and communication of recommendations that prompt meaningful action.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to marketing, finance, and data product teams to address complex business challenges, tracking marketing and product performance through an evidence-based approach.
  • Tool Mastery: Leverage Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad hoc reports that meet evolving business needs.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Examine data to identify business issues and conduct deep-dive investigations to perform root cause analysis that uncovers underlying drivers of performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to leverage data from various sources, including internal arenaflex data, third-party market research, and external advertising platforms, to address complex business challenges and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Customer Insights: Conceptualize and execute analyses that generate insights into customer behavior and needs, supporting the continuous improvement of our value proposition.
  • KPI Development: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards to track progress and performance, ensuring a relentless focus on results and execution.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting within an e-commerce environment or a related industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
  • Advanced experience with at least one industry-leading analytics and data visualization tool, such as Tableau, QuickSight, or Power BI.
  • Expert-level mastery of Microsoft Excel, with a demonstrated track record of building sophisticated models and reports.
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in data science, business administration, economics, information technology, statistics, mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.

Sample Weekly Schedule (Part-Time)

Below is a sample schedule to give you a sense of how a typical work week might look in this role. The exact hours and breaks can be adjusted based on individual preferences, workload, and company policies.

Monday to Friday

  • 9:00 AM – 9:15 AM: Check emails and messages for urgent updates or instructions from the supervisor.
  • 9:15 AM – 10:00 AM: Review the day's tasks and prioritize them accordingly.
  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Data analysis and reporting tasks, including querying databases, building dashboards, and analyzing campaign performance.
  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch break.
  • 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Continue with data analysis, stakeholder meetings, and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM: Short break for stretching or a quick walk.
  • 3:15 PM – 5:00 PM: Complete pending tasks, double-check reports for accuracy, organize documentation, and respond to outstanding inquiries.
  • 5:00 PM: End of the workday.

Saturday and Sunday

  • Flexible hours: Depending on workload and personal availability, you may dedicate a few hours over the weekend to catch up on pending tasks or prepare for the upcoming week. This schedule is fully adaptable to your lifestyle.
