About arenaflex and This Opportunity

arenaflex is a forward-thinking organization dedicated to transforming the healthcare experience for patients, families, and care providers across the country. As a trusted partner in the healthcare services industry, arenaflex connects individuals recovering from illness, injury, or managing long-term disabilities with the medical equipment, supplies, and resources they need to live more comfortably and independently at home. Our mission is rooted in compassion, clinical excellence, and an unwavering commitment to improving quality of life through dependable home medical solutions.

We are currently seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Associate Customer Service Representative specializing in Home Medical Equipment (HME). In this role, you will serve as the vital first point of contact for customers, referral sources, and clinicians, guiding them through the process of ordering and receiving the equipment and supplies that make daily life safer and more manageable. If you are passionate about helping others, thrive in a patient-centered environment, and want to build a meaningful career in healthcare, this opportunity at arenaflex is the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play an essential role in ensuring that every customer interaction reflects our values of empathy, professionalism, and clinical accuracy. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the first line of communication with customers, referral sources, and clinicians to facilitate the seamless ordering and delivery of home medical equipment products.
  • Educating customers on arenaflex's broad portfolio of HME products, supplies, and services in a clear, patient-friendly manner.
  • Recommending medically appropriate and cost-effective HME solutions tailored to meet the homecare, mobility, testing, and respiratory needs of each customer.
  • Providing basic technical support as needed, including troubleshooting equipment questions and guiding customers through proper usage.
  • Assisting in increasing comfort and quality of life for individuals recovering from illness or injury, as well as those living with chronic conditions or disabilities.
  • Documenting all customer interactions accurately within arenaflex's systems to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborating with internal departments including billing, clinical support, and logistics to resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HME products, insurance requirements, and industry regulations to provide accurate information to customers and partners.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring a blend of healthcare knowledge, customer service expertise, and a genuine desire to help others. The required qualifications include:

  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience, with two years preferred in a healthcare or related setting.
  • An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Medical Terminology and Medical Coding certification obtained upon hire (training support may be provided).
  • At least one year of experience in a patient-facing healthcare environment, insurance registration, or insurance billing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help candidates stand out and accelerate their success at arenaflex:

  • Zero to two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Rx Technician) or Customer Service Representative in a healthcare-related service environment.
  • Familiarity with home medical equipment products, durable medical equipment (DME) workflows, or respiratory care services.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems or healthcare CRM platforms.
  • Bilingual communication skills, particularly in Spanish, to better serve diverse patient populations.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines related to HME coverage and reimbursement.
