The Role: Part-Time Remote Emergency Roadside Assistance Customer Service Representative

As a Part-Time Remote Emergency Roadside Assistance Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll serve as the vital link between our members in distress and the assistance they need. Operating from the comfort of your home, you'll handle a high volume of emergency road service requests with compassion, efficiency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Emergency Response Coordination: promptly respond to member/customer requests for emergency road service in a virtual call center environment
  • Situation Assessment: obtain critical information regarding service requirements including vehicle location, type of problem, and member details
  • Benefit Education: provide clear information about Emergency Road Service benefits in accordance with arenaflex's Customer Interaction Model
  • Geographic Proficiency: perform geographical location spotting to identify potential service providers in the member's vicinity
  • Contractor Communication: effectively communicate with service contractors, providing all necessary details about the member's location, vehicle, and issue
  • ETA Coordination: obtain estimated time of arrival from contractors and maintain accurate records in the arenaflex D2000 database
  • Member Notification: keep members informed about the contractor's identity and expected arrival time
  • Status Management: monitor service progress and communicate updates to members when service exceeds expected timeframes
  • Opportunity Recognition: identify, promote, and process membership sales opportunities that benefit the member
  • Quality Assurance: verify service completion and properly close out calls in the system

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Education: high school diploma or equivalent (additional education preferred)
  • Experience: minimum 6 months of customer service experience
  • Technical Skills: ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously while maintaining efficient call flow
  • Geographic Knowledge: understanding of North American geography and road systems
  • Language Proficiency: excellent communication skills in English (bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are highly valued and eligible for additional compensation)
  • Composure: ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
  • Attention to Detail: precision in documenting information and maintaining accurate records
  • Technical Aptitude: proficiency with basic computer systems and applications
  • Self-Motivation: ability to maintain productivity while working independently in a remote setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Education: college coursework in Business, Marketing, Geography, or related field
  • Call Center Experience: previous experience in a call center environment
  • Remote Work: proven track record of successful remote work
  • Sales Experience: experience in cross-selling and up-selling products and services

Training and Work Environment

Training Program

arenaflex invests in your success through our comprehensive paid training program:

  • Duration: full-time training for approximately 4 weeks
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm EST (9:00am - 5:30pm CST)
  • Format: virtual training conducted through our online learning platform
  • Content: product knowledge, system navigation, customer interaction techniques, and scenario-based simulations

Post-Training Schedule

  • Part-Time Availability: shifts typically between 2:00pm EST to 10:00pm EST
  • Weekend Requirements: availability on weekends as part of regular schedule
  • Flexibility: willingness to accommodate occasional schedule adjustments based on business needs

To ensure success in this remote position, you'll need to have the following equipment and setup:

  • Desktop or laptop computer with speakers and microphone capability
