The Role: Customer Engineer

As a Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you will work cross-functionally to introduce our cloud platform to customers across Florida and beyond. You will help both potential customers and existing customers understand the power of arenaflex Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions, and problem-solve any capability business challenges they face.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of specialized Customer Engineers who are called upon by Subject Sales Representatives to help customer-facing engagements in which specific arenaflex product knowledge is required to advance customer opportunities. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in driving successful customer outcomes and expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Local Sales Teams: Partner with sales representatives in the pursuit of key commercial enterprise opportunities, engaging clients to address factors of the information lifecycle and demonstrate the value of arenaflex solutions.
  • Requirements Discovery: Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect customer solutions to fulfill gathered requirements with precision and innovation.
  • Technical Project Leadership: Be responsible for leading technical projects, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
  • Solution Development: Work directly with arenaflex Platform products to illustrate and prototype integrations in customer/partner environments, demonstrating capabilities and proving technical feasibility.
  • Travel & Client Engagement: Travel for meetings, technical opinions, and onsite delivery activities as needed to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Product Messaging: Prepare and deliver product messaging that spotlight the arenaflex Platform value proposition, using techniques that include whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Assist fellow sales team members by problem-solving key technical troubles for our customers, providing expert guidance and resolution strategies.
  • Product Enhancement Collaboration: Liaise with Product Marketing Management and Engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise improvements to arenaflex products.
  • Customer Empowerment: Focus on delivering what is most helpful for the customer, ensuring their success and satisfaction with arenaflex solutions.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent realistic experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Representative, Technical Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or in a customer-facing position.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with conventional analytic warehouse solutions, big data technologies, real-time streaming, performance optimizations, or scalability optimizations.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly research, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions within the cloud/IT era area.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Advanced Education: Master's Degree in Computer Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical subject.
  • Data Solutions Experience: Experience developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch or real-time event processing, and ETL workflow solutions.
  • Data Management Expertise: Experience with data and data control as it pertains to big data traits and problems within organizations.
  • AI/ML Capabilities: Ability to cope with AI/ML and ML Operations issues as part of the data analytics platform and lifecycle.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific challenges and the ability to tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Certifications: Relevant cloud platform certifications and credentials.
