Our mission is to deliver safe, reliable, and seamless travel experiences while fostering a culture of integrity, respect, and continuous improvement. As part of our expanding IT Operations team, we are looking for a highly motivated Remote IT Business Analyst to join the IT Facilities group and help shape the future of our data center and remote office environments.

Working remotely, you will partner with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and on‑site staff to ensure that the critical infrastructure supporting arenaflex’s airport communication rooms, server farms, and laboratory environments remains robust, secure, and scalable. This role offers a unique blend of strategic planning, hands‑on technical support, and project management—all from the comfort of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Business Analyst – IT Facilities, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our core infrastructure humming. Your day‑to‑day activities will include:

  • Designing, documenting, and maintaining comprehensive communication and coordination channels with senior leadership, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Providing expert technical support for server farm infrastructure, data center facilities, and remote communication rooms, ensuring 24/7 availability and rapid incident resolution.
  • Leading the planning, design, and execution of capital improvement projects for data center space, power, cooling, and physical IT infrastructure.
  • Managing the fiber ring that connects arenaflex’s primary airport hub and ground office locations, guaranteeing reliability and performance.
  • Developing and enforcing departmental policies, procedures, and standards that align with corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Overseeing the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations while delivering cost‑effective solutions.
  • Coordinating with corporate real‑estate teams on projects that impact data center layout, UPS power capacity, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of all facility‑related assets, change control activities, and audit records.
  • Providing proactive and break‑fix support for tickets related to data center hardware, remote office equipment, labs, and server farms.
  • Balancing competing priorities, adapting to shifting project timelines, and responding to emergency situations with composure and professionalism.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in data center or high‑availability communication room environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with server farm infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling, and physical security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber optic networking, UPS systems, HVAC, and fire protection (FLS) standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage capital improvement projects from concept through implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to safety, data privacy, and compliance with corporate policies and industry regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give candidates a distinct advantage:

  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated aviation or transportation environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with enterprise asset management (EAM) tools and CMDB processes.
  • Previous involvement in large‑scale data center migrations or consolidations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for emergency response.
