Title: Sr. Business Intelligence Data Architect (Power BI & Azure)Client: Federal AgencyLocation: RemoteClearance: Public TrustSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.Number of Positions: 1Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMWork Day: Monday – Friday Position Summary Aalis Management Consulting seeks a highly qualified Sr. Business Intelligence Data Architect (Power BI & Azure) to support a Federal Agency by designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise business intelligence and data architecture solutions. This position will play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights through scalable data pipelines, cloud-based data warehouses, and executive dashboards. The successful candidate will collaborate with program managers, technical teams, and government stakeholders to architect data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure, SQL, and Python, along with strong communication and systems architecture skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and enterprise data warehouses. Develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI. Architect cloud-based analytics solutions using Azure services, including Azure SQL, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics. Integrate and transform data from multiple internal and external sources. Optimize data models and query performance for analytics and reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. Prepare executive briefings and data visualizations to support decision-making. Establish data governance, quality assurance, and documentation standards. Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues. Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and analytical capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data architecture, or analytics development. Advanced experience with Power BI, Azure, SQL, and Python. Experience designing enterprise data warehouses and cloud-based analytics platforms. Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT development, dimensional modeling, and database design. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate. Microsoft Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect certification. Experience supporting federal agencies and Public Trust environments.
