Hospital Pharmacist Remote Order Entry Through our remote service, we serve acute‑care hospitals, providing you the opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. You will utilize your clinical skills – including monitoring, dosing, and reviewing patient medication therapy – while the dispensing is handled by the hospital. This unique approach offers flexible work schedules, a collaborative team environment, and a focus on patient care. Texas Pharmacy License Requirement Must possess a Texas pharmacist license in good standing. Position Details This is a full‑time, work‑from‑home position. 7 on/7 off overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification Assure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses Perform as staff pharmacist as needed Provide physician and nursing consultations Clinical medication dosing services Review and monitor profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes Coordinate access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations Qualifications Active pharmacy license(s) in state of residence as well as state of original licensure Active TX license required; OK and WY preferred 2–4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states for practice Computer savvy to learn and operate multiple pharmacy information systems Excellent communication skills to interact with other healthcare professionals and facilitate competent clinical care What is Expected At This Level Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve Applies judgment within defined parameters Receives general guidance and may receive detailed instruction on new projects Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy Compensation Anticipated hourly range: $48.70 per hour – $69.60 per hour based on experience Bonus eligible: No Benefits Medical, dental and vision coverage Paid time off plan Health savings account (HSA) 401(k) savings plan Access to wages before payday with myFlexPay Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) Short‑ and long‑term disability coverage Work‑life resources Paid parental leave Healthy lifestyle programs Application Window Anticipated to close: 05/12/2026 – if interested, please submit your application as soon as possible.
